The white-cheeked starlings were bathing in the rice paddies. It was hard to get in deep enough. They were moving right and left looking for a good place.

It is commonly known as “hammerhead flatworms”, “hammerhead worms” or “broadhead planarians” .
When I exited the gate, there was something crawling along the road. It standed out because of its yellow color. I see it once or twice a year. I wonder where they are usually. The shape of the head is distinctive.

It was long and slender, so I measured its length. It was approximately 19.3 inches.
Dad snatched the crayfish from mam
Mam of the little grebe caught the crayfish. Dad snatched it from mam. The children, looking a big food, chase after him, but he is on the run.

A grey wagtail is capturing insects
On a sunny winter day, I saw a grey wagtail catching insects. This is the second time I’ve seen a grey wagtail this season.

Tree sparrows: shaken by strong winds.
This sparrow lives in Eurasia. Sparrows were perched on the branches of a yuzu tree swaying violently in the strong wind.
Brown-eared bulbuls eating all the vegetables they can.
Brown-eared bulbuls are native in Japan.

In winter, they come to my vegetable garden and eat all the fresh vegetables they can.

The flight of a flock of Eurasian tree sparrows like a storm
At this time of the year, young eurasian tree sparrows are flying in large flocks. The way they fly is like the wind passing by.

Great Crested Grebes were capturing fishes in large flocks
The Great Crested Grebes of Lake Sayama are acting in large flocks. I wonder how many birds are there.

I zoomed in on the image above and counted how many birds there were.

There are probably close to 400 birds of them.
The Great Crested Grebes are moving around the lake to capture fishes. When they start to dive all at once, you may not be able to see them from the surface of the lake.
